Nuchal Translucency Screening - to check risk for Trisomy 21 or Down’s Syndrome
Congenital Anomaly Scan or Targeted Detailed Level II Exam - to check for fetal anomalies
Biophysical Profile Scoring - measures the health or well being of the fetus during pregnancy and gives a scoring index on four parameters (fetal movement, fetal tone, fetal breathing and amniotic fluid volume)
OB Doppler Studies - helps assess and measures blood flow in different parts of your baby’s body such as the umbilical cord, brain and heart. This helps to show that the baby is receiving an adequate amount of oxygen and nutrients via the placenta.
Placental Color Dopplers - evaluates for placenta accreta
Concerns regarding potential for their baby to have birth defects or abnormalities
Medical problems like: Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Heart disease, Renal disease, Thyroid disorders and history of Thrombosis
A history of prior pregnancy complications such as preterm labour, premature rupture of membranes, recurrent pregnancy loss and fetal growth abnormalities
A pregnancy conceived by infertility treatments
A multiple pregnancy such as twins, triplets or quadruplets
